Hello Insight: College Readiness is an assessment tool designed to measure the social-emotional skills necessary for students to successfully transition to and thrive in college. Grounded in research on youth development and postsecondary success, this instrument helps educators and program leaders understand how well students are prepared for the academic, social, and emotional demands of college life. The assessment evaluates key competencies linked to college readiness and persistence, including: Self-management – Time management, organization, and responsibility. Growth mindset – Confidence in overcoming academic challenges. Resilience & adaptability – Coping with setbacks and adjusting to new environments. Self-advocacy – Seeking help and utilizing available resources. Social integration – Building relationships and a sense of belonging in college settings. Designed for high school students, college preparation programs, and postsecondary transition initiatives, this tool helps educators and counselors identify students' strengths and areas for growth as they prepare for college. The data can be used to: Support transition planning – Inform high school interventions to better equip students for postsecondary education. Enhance college readiness programs – Adjust programming to strengthen critical SEL skills.
