Access Tools to Measure HQIM and Professional Learning in Math

Districts across the country are investing in high-quality mathematics instructional materials, yet many lack clear systems for monitoring implementation. Developed by the Research Partnership for Professional Learning (RPPL), the Math-specific version of the toolkit provides practical, research-informed instruments to measure and strengthen Math HQIM and curriculum-based professional learning (CBPL) across the system. The tools are flexible, modular, and designed to support continuous improvement in Math instruction.

Within each download, you will find four core tools:

  • Leader survey
  • Teacher survey
  • Student survey
  • Classroom observation protocol

With this toolkit, you can:

  • Track Math HQIM and CBPL implementation across leaders, teachers, and students
  • Identify strengths, gaps, and variations in Math instruction and supports
  • Use shared data to guide continuous improvement in Math teaching and learning
